Pinch me, I'm dreaming!

I've been dreaming lately and I'm not talking about dreams during sleep. Day dreaming...of life, what it will be like and everything that comes with it. I catch myself doing it at the weirdest times and sometimes it's very distracting.

With all this working out and dieting I dream of being skinny! Wearing dresses, being able to work out and it not hurt every bone, going for runs instead of using the elliptical. I can't wait and I wish I would be able to wake up like that tomorrow. That won't happen, obviously, but I still dream about it, I think I even practice workout moves in my sleep.

I dream of making a house a home. I see all kinds of things I want to do with my house when I grow up and buy one...I can not wait! Of course, rebuilding my credit and then establishing it comes first, so a house is a long ways out.

I dream of being a better cook. I enjoy cooking and wish I had more time to do it. Now that I go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week after work, cooking full meals makes for a super long day. The Mr. seems to like my cooking, so I suppose what I'm doing is good, right? Or will a man eat anything?

I dream of working for Starbucks again. I miss that job sometimes. The pace, the customers, the discounts and of course, the coffee! Oh well, maybe someday.

Last night, I did dream about riding a bike. I would love to do that again! I haven't been on one for years and don't even know if I remember how. I've been thinking about it a lot. I want to do it!

I could go on and on about my dreams but I'll stop. Am I having a pity party? I'm getting up early tomorrow, cashing my check, going to the gym, going to the doctors, going to the salon and enjoying my day off! Somewhere in there, I'll eat and cook dinner for my boyfriend.

Oh yeah, Seattle pictures are up! Go check them out! Click here!

Until next time,

Seattle, baby!

Catching up!

We've been home for three days and I have yet to blog. This week has flow by, which is a good thing but I don't think I've had a moment where I wasn't working, working out, cooking or doing something else. So, here I am. We had a wonderful weekend, ate way too much food, spent some quality time together and got to do it in one of my favorite places. I love Seattle, if I was making enough money, I'd move back in a heart beat. It's slowly growing on The Mr., I can see it in his eyes!

We left on Friday afternoon and had to make it to Renton in time for The Mr. to make his Apple store appointment. We made it there in good timing, got to the mall, turned his computer in met my parents and some other members of my family at Cheesecake Factory. If you've never eaten there, you have to! It's amazing and we ate TOO much food, even the drinks were to die for! After dinner we all headed to my Tio's house for drinks and visiting. We left around 10:30; Rambo was in the hotel alone and The Mr. had been up since 3:45, so he was super tired!

We woke up early on Saturday and met my parents for breakfast before heading out into the city for some fun! We spent the day downtown and in North Seattle. I showed The Mr. where I used to live, ate at the super yummy teriyaki place and then headed back downtown to catch a ride on "Ride the Ducks of Seattle." I have been on the tour before but The Mr. hadn't, it was a lot of fun and beautiful too! I'll post pictures on my picture blog.

Rambo ended up getting sent home with my parents on Saturday. You see, he was a very VERY bad dog! We left him in the bathroom at the hotel while we met my parents for breakfast and he was obviously very upset that we left him in there. We got back and he had scratched at the side panel of the bathroom door and ruined it!!! He was in trouble! Needless to say, Grandma and Grandpa came to the rescue and took him home with them. We got lots of pictures and videos though, and I'm sure he had a better time with them then he did with us. He's still trying to re-coop and still catching up on sleep.

We got home around 9pm on Sunday, we were so tired...and not just physically but tired of being in the car, eating out and not being at home. I think we were both so thankful to pull into the apartment complex!

I had Monday off but had to go pick up Rambo and ended up spending a few hours in Othello. It was back to work on Tuesday and like I said before, I've been busy busy busy! It's my Friday tomorrow and I'm excited! I'll be going to Yakima to spend Amanda's birthday with her. We're going wine tasting and going to have dinner. It'll be fun!

In other news, I'm still working out and trying to eat healthy. I really had to recover from this weekend and can not do that again for a long time. I gained 3lbs of the 5 I had lost. Ugh! I was super discouraged last night but my amazing boyfriend made me feel better about my situation.

I'll post pictures soon on my picture blog. Lot's of pictures from this weekend and the damage that Rambo did! Crazy dog!

Until next time,

Blogging from Seattle!

Our trip has been great. One more day to go and then it's back to reality. I have pictures, stories and laughs to share but will update once I get home. Until then....hang tight and enjoy your weekend!

Until next time,

Woohoo!

Hi friends!

It's finally Thursday and I am so excited! It is officially my weekend, I'm going to Seattle and I'm going to relax! It's going to be so awesome, and to top it off, I have Monday off too! Don't be jealous.

My knees hurt from the gym but I figure it's all worth it. It'll all pay off in the end, right? I sure hope so! It's mostly from the step class I've been taking, which I love so so much. The girls that go are awesome and the instructor is amazing. Today I actually felt like I could do most the moves and jumps, I'm still kind of getting a feel for the step, I'll be it sooner then later and I'm sure once I do, they'll change the routine around.

I weigh in tomorrow and I'm nervous! I got on the scale and it looked like I had gained a few pounds. I'll be so sad if I did but The Mr. told me that it was because I had just got done eating dinner. We'll see. If I did, I'm going on a bread and water diet. :-)

We have no plans for Seattle, we're just going to get away. We're also taking Rambo! It's is first road trip, I know he has no clue but I'm excited! I'm going to take lots of pictures! Thank God the hotel is "pet friendly!"

I do have to give a shout out though....see this awesome layout? You can get your own right here! She's awesome, responds fast to emails, and her designing is freakin' amazing! I have my own design coming soon, for now I'm using a premade template of hers!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Taking a moment

This week has been non stop. I feel like it's Friday and it's only.....Tuesday, right?

This is the first time I've sat down all day. My feet hurt, my knees hurt from step class and my sunburn is still burnin'.

Tomorrow I work and then drive to Othello for Loryn's 7th birthday. She 7; where the heck has time gone? Holy moly!

I just made about a gallon of fruit salad for the birthday party, people better freakin' eat it!

At WalMart, we found Jamba Juice smoothie kits. I am in love! I love Jamba Juice soooo much! Speaking of, I can't wait to go to Seattle this weekend. I'm hitting up Jamba Juice everyday. Watch me.

Until next time,

Hot hot hot!

I'm going to try to type without moving my body; I am so sunburnt and it hurts so bad. I posted pictures of our weekend on my picture blog and there is one of my burn. I don't know why I didn't put sunscreen on, I knew what I was going to be doing, I was just being lazy. I'm suffering now and it's no one else's fault but my own.

We had a fun weekend full of birthday surprises for my mom, lots of Elvis and lots of good food! We went to Ellensburg and saw an Elvis impersonator, my mom had no idea that we were going to meet them there, let alone see a fake Elvis. You have to understand, my mother LOVES this guy. She has a ton of Elvis collectible items, has two tattoos of Elvis and knows ALL his song, she's an Elvis freak! It was a blast even though it was hot and I'm a lobster now.

On Friday we met my parents for dinner and it was a great time! Good company, good food, and good drinks! What could be better? I think we sat at Applebee's for a good two hours and after dinner we went to Fred Meyer to pick up a pool for Loryn's birthday and my parents bought us a new bedset! It took us (me, really) forever to decided which one we wanted; we finally decided and came right home and put it on! There are pictures on my picture blog of it...check it out!

Today we're relaxing. Watching TV, doing laundry and maybe do a little bit of cleaning. It's back to the grind tomorrow! Work, gym, dinner, sleep, repeat. My new goal is to keep my diet during the weekend, it's hard! Wait...we're going to Seattle next weekend. Scratch that goal. :-)

Until next time,

quick notes

I figured I would blog since I have a few minutes before I head to the gym. So far the gym has been good and something that I'm going to make a habit out of. I took three months off and it caught up to me. It was hard, we were going late at night, coming home even later which made for a short nights rest, it just wasn't working the way it should have.

This week I've been going when I get off work and The Mr. is going in the morning before work. We're both home in the evening, both able to make dinner and spend time together, it's nice. Going at separate times has worked the best and I think it's going to last. We're also making sure we're eating better, 5 small meals a day, and drinking lots more water! I've lost 3lbs so far, I know it's not much, but it's some.

Now it's the weekend and staying on track during the weekend is always a challenge. We tend to be busy and always seem to be surrounded by good food. I just need to remember small portions and stop when I'm full.

We have a fun weekend planned and I'm excited! More details to come!

Okay, I need to grab a quick breakfast. I'll blog more later!

Until next time,

Our new bed!

Until next time,

Making new habits!

I just put new scents in my scentsy warmers. I love this stuff so much, it makes me happy. Right now the apartment smells of cherry limeaid; the bathroom smells of cranberry spice and our bedroom smells of pelrino. All of them are amazing! I try to always add a manly smell somewhere in the house, this week it's the bedroom; I normally put it in the bathroom, but I thought I would mix it up a little today.

Today is day three back at the gym. It feels so good! I'm glad I decided to go back even though its been kicking my butt. Yesterday I tried Zumba, today I did Step; and boy did I get a work out. I would much rather do group workouts then to take 30 minutes on the elliptical. Don't get me wrong, I'd do it if I had to, but these last two days have been so awesome, and they go so quickly; before I know it, I've worked out for an hour and have burned a ton of calories! Tomorrow I'm going to go do strength training, Thursday I'm going to back to Step, Friday I'm going to do Zumba and strength training. I plan on keeping this schedule every week! I'm excited!

We've been eating better too. I'm taking my own lunches to work and making healthier choices for dinner. Speaking of, The Mr. made dinner last night and it was SO good! I was super suprised; I went to Zumba at 5:45 and got home around 7, with dinner all done, my drink waiting for me and all my scentsy warmers were turned on. He's amazing!

Other then that not much is going on. Just trying to get back into shape and trying to make a habit of going to the gym. I'm going to do this!

Until next time,

Clean...clean...clean

The apartment is clean and organized, the bathroom is spotless, the laundry is almost done and the garage looks amazing! We spent this weekend cleaning, literally. All day Saturday and most of today was spent cleaning, throwing stuff away, and just getting the apartment a little more organized. It feels good. The Mr. didn't have as much fun as I did, but he lived. There were a few intense moments, but we're still dating, so that's a good sign, right? It was like a test of our relationship. Yesterday wasn't bad, he was down in the garage, I was upstairs and we really didn't see each other except for meal times. Today, now that's a different story. Everything we did was upstairs, and well, it didn't go so well. It was hot, he was grumpy, which made me grumpy, and there was stuff everywhere. But now, all is put away, all is organized and all is well in the apartment. I don't think we'll be cleaning for awhile, but I really want to organized the bedroom. I keep telling myself to take one step at a time. I always have to remind myself that he lived here for 3 years by himself, that he's a guy and that staying clean and organized is not in his genes. I think he's satisfied with everything we accomplished this weekend, he just won't admit it. Once again, he's a guy.

Last night, after the sun went down, we went to the pool. It was still about 80 degree's out, the water was perfect and so was the evening. I love swimming and really don't do it enough. It was a great way to cool off and just relax after a busy day. And we had some much needed boyfriend-girlfriend time.

My lilies are dying and it makes me so sad. I know I've had them for over a week, but they were so beautiful. I walked out of the bedroom this morning and one fell right in front of me. We laughed because I had just said "Awwww, my lilies are dying!" It was as if it was planned for it to fall right then.

I, once again, have been working on backgrounds and headers. I think the one I have now is my favorite. Pink and black are my two favorite colors too! I think it goes well together.

It's back to work tomorrow, the weekends fly by so fast, especially when we stay busy. It's going to be warm this week, so that gives us lots of chances to play outside and soak up some sun! I want to find some new parks to play at, I'm going to research that this week. I know we're going to go to story time too, we haven't been for two weeks, last time we tried to go, the Reptile Man was there and so were 200 other people!

I'm not sure what this week holds, but I do know I am going back to the gym. I am going to try to make it some classes to workout; one is a step class and the other is a cardio aerobic class. I'm excited! I'm really pumped to get back to working out. It's been awhile since we've been to the gym, and I can totally feel the difference in my body and the way I used to feel after working out. It's time to get back in gear.

Until next time,

Something new

In the process of learning to create my own blog background I discovered digital scrapbooking. I've never actually got into scrapbooking, but have always thought it was cool. I don't have the space or even the time to do that, I never print my pictures and Lord knows if I started it, I probably wouldn't finish it. I have all my pictures on my computer so digital scrapbooking is the answer from God, I swear. Some people are so creative and have put so much time into their work, I can only imagine what their real scrapbooks looks like.

I've researched some sites and have found a really awesome program that works well with digital scrapbooking. It actually does the work for you, as far as uploading it to the website, you just have to create the pages. You can then print books of your work, calendars and cards. I'm hooked! It's kind of bland right now as I'm just getting the hang of it, but I'm really enjoying it.

I've added a link to my scrapblog on top of my page, check it out! I've started with simple things, and will be adding more soon. If you want to create your own scrapblog, click here.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I am!

Until next time,

Party anyone?

Shame on me for:
  • Not going to the gym anymore.
  • Not cooking dinner twice in one week.
  • Being grumpy while we were grocery shopping.
  • Not sticking to that diet I started months ago.
  • Not getting my oil changed on time.
  • Not folding the laundry that's in the dryer.
  • Not making Devin's bed and leaving the sheets in the dryer for Jenn.
Okay, I'm done having my pity party; and thanks for joining me!

Tomorrow, I will:
  • Sleep in.
  • Fold the laundry.
  • Go work out. (I'm dead set on this.)
  • Make dinner.
  • And maybe get my oil changed. :-)
I am thankful for the weekend and hope it goes slow! I need to catch up on sleep; we have nothing to do other then clean and go to the gym. I told The Mr. it's time to stop talking about going back, that we actually NEED to go back. So...that's what I'm doing tomorrow!!

Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!
I'm addicted! Addicted to making layouts for my blog. It's so much fun! I can see why people charge for it though, it takes a lot of time, and can be a lot of work. I never thought I would like it, but web design is fun. It seems simple but it's really all about math and layering. Maybe someday I'll start a blog design store. People pay big bucks for a full layout.

Today was good. I took the boys to the park, and hung out for awhile. There were so many kids there; YMCA had their day camp going, so there were kids everywhere! It was hard to keep an eye on the boys. After the park we went back to the house for lunch and Sawyer's nap time. Devin and I relaxed and stayed cool, it was 97 degrees today! When it's that hot it's hard to play outside, and being it was 3 o'clock, the sun was right over us and it was very uncomfortable. (I don't do well in the heat, remember?) So, we stayed inside, watched some t.v, played some games, read some books and just relaxed.

I got off work around 4:15, came home, walked Rambo and waited for The Mr. to get home. We are low on food in the house, so we decided to go out to eat. We're going grocery shopping tomorrow though, so I'll be back to cooking in no time! I dread grocery shopping. We normally go every two weeks, but we haven't gone for a month! When I saw we're low....I mean...WE'RE LOW! I think I'm dreading this trip more than any other time. It'll be a lot of groceries!

The weekend is coming fast! I can't wait till Friday. I'm going to sleep in and relax....all day! I have nothing to do, and I do not plan on making any plans. I am going to start the weekend cleaning and probably some laundry, but that's it!

I need to put more pictures on my digital picture frame, it had 1gb of internal memory and I've used less then half of that as of right now. The box says 6400 pictures can go on there, I have a lot more to take! I want to take a photography class, I think it would be so neat to learn to use a camera properly. The Mr. has a really nice camera, hopefully he'll be nice enough to let me use it. ;-)

I need to figure out what to get my Mom and Loryn for their birthday. I'm not a good gift giver, I draw blanks and have no idea what to get people. I ought to start looking though, their birthdays are 2 weeks away!

My photo frame just turned off, that means it's 11, which means I'm up late, once again. This sleeping habit is out of whack, I should be going to be earlier. I'll start tomorrow. (Haha)

Let me know what you guys think of my new layout. I love making them and would even love to make one for others!

The pillows are calling my name, I keep yawning. Goodnight

Until next time,

The Handsome Mr.
