Catching up!

I recently decided to switch back over to Blogger to host my blog for a few reasons, but the main reason was that I was paying monthly for Godaddy.com to host my abigaildeanna.com domain. It wasn't much a month but after thinking about it, I figured there wasn't really a reason to be paying for something that I can get for free on another website. So, I canceled my web hosting and will now be blogging from here. I did set up forwarding, so if anyone goes to abigaildeanna.com, they will automatically be redirected to this website.

I'm fully trained and picking up lots of hours at Starbucks, it is definitely keeping me busy but I miss my weekends and being home during the evenings. I'm really glad that my store has short hours and closes at a decent time. My last store closed at 10pm and we weren't getting out of there until 11pm, which made for really late nights.

On Monday, my parents, Rita, Loryn and Emma came to Kennewick so we could have brunch before I went to work. While they were here we were able to take them to our new duplex so they could see it. Unfortunately, they have put locks on the doors so we weren't able to just walk right in like before. Luckily though there were some guys working in the duplex next to ours that were more then willing to unlock the door for us so we could show them the lay out. They are getting ready to install cabinets into the bathrooms and kitchen. I can not wait! I wish it was done already and we could be moving. We still have a long ways though, so we're stuck paying month to month in our apartment for now, but it will all work out in the end.

I won't lie though, I am dreading the whole moving process. I'm thankful we are literally moving down the street, but we have a whole lot of stuff in this one bedroom apartment and I'm not looking forward to going through it all. My goal is to start early so when it does come time to move, we won't have so much to do.

I have the next two days off and I plan on doing a bunch of nothing. I know I have laundry to catch up on and some cleaning to do but other then that, I have nothing planned. I really do miss having weekends off but in the end, I know it's all worth it.

I can't believe tomorrow is June 1st, where has the year gone and where is Summer? I'm okay with it being cooler than normal but I'm tired of this rain and wind! Hopefully Summer comes quickly!

So excited!

For the last year and a half I have been a nanny. It was a position I decided to take when I left Starbucks in 2009. I loved being a nanny and being able to be a major part of children's lives and hopefully make a major impact on them. I've always wanted to be a teacher and this was the closest to being a teacher I was getting until I'm able to finish my degree.

With that, there aren't a lot of things I regret because I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason but for last year and a half I've regretting leaving Starbucks. It was a great job with great pay and though the hours may have sucks here and there, it payed the bills and I met a lot of amazing people working there. I obviously was having a bad day and just decided to quit, there's a lot more to it then that, but I knew if I ever had the chance to take another job there, I would take it in a New York second.

After waiting almost two years and after putting in applications every 60 days, that chance has finally opened up for me and tomorrow if my first day working for Starbucks again! I am excited, nervous and eager to get started. I left Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor and am being hired as one which is a blessing. I would have taken the job even if it was just a barista position, but knowing I am coming back to the position I left is awesome.

I'm excited to be working for an amazing company again and to have a "real" job as some people like to call it. I know the paycheck will feel nicer and well earned.

I can't wait to start my training tomorrow, to meet all my coworkers and to get free coffee! My bank account is going to love that!

It's been awhile

It's been awhile since I've written on my blog. The second half of April flew by and I just haven't sat down to write a blog or even read other peoples blogs. Last time I looked, I have over 100 new blog posts to read, I may just be hitting the "Marked as Read" button.

Pablo and I have been spending a lot of time looking for a house to rent. It's been a lot harder then I thought because we have a dog; we knew this was going to be a problem, but we didn't think so many people wouldn't accept pets. He's our child! The good news is that we recently found a place that will accept pets, we just have to make sure it's what we really want.

It's funny the way life works out, a few months ago and I was so stressed out about different things in my life and lately everything has been falling into place. The family that I nanny for right now only needs me until school is over and I knew this taking the job, it was just something I needed to do at the time. Obviously, I've been looking for a new position and it's funny how doors open up when you least expect them, but I'm 99.9% sure I have landed a job as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks. I am so so so excited that I'm going to be able to be back at Starbucks but also to be comeing in at the position that I left at. It's just really nice to see everything falling into place. I can't wait to start and get things rolling!

That's really all I have, not a lot to update on. I'm going to go catch up on my blog reading now! :-)
