It's the little things!

Left: 12/31/12 Right: 2/23/13
Early this morning I went to my Weight Watchers location to weigh in. I didn't walk in expecting big changes, honestly, I was expecting to gain a little bit. I had already told myself that if I gained, I was going to take it with pride and move on.

This past weekend we ate out twice and we had my bridal shower. It was a little bit of a rough weekend, but I've done my best the past 3 days, trying to bounce back and stay on track. Whatever happened when I stepped on the scale, I was okay with it and I knew that it wasn't going to stop me from reaching my goals.

I stepped on the scale, I didn't look at it, actually I didn't even really want to know the number. My leader looked at me and said "Hey! A loss is a loss, even if its small!" Woohoo! Even after a little bit of a rough weekend, I still lost! I'm still on my way to becoming healthy.

I didn't lose pounds this week, I lost ounces. I'm okay with that though, ounces add up and will eventually make pounds that will be gone....forever!

This past week I lost .4 pounds, making it a total of 19.4lbs gone (and never coming back) since I started Weight Watchers. Little changes last forever and I know little losses are better then great big ones!

The best part of all is that I can still say I've lost every week since I started, and I'm not stopping here! It really is the little things in this, it's the little changes that count, the ones that will last forever!

Stretching

I've never been good at stretching, in fact, I hate to do it. I know it's good to stretch before and after working out. I know it will prevent muscles for being sore or even getting injured. I completely understand all the pros to stretching, but I hate it.

The only time I stretch is if I'm in a group class and everyone else is stretching, I don't want to be the only one NOT following along. So, I'll stretch, but probably not as good as I should. I don't stretch before walking on the treadmill or using the elliptical.

I've been going to Zumba every Monday since January and I absolutely love it. My knees don't like it very much, but I know that will change with time. I've been thinking that maybe my knees would feel better if I stretched them out a little more. The past couple of Monday's, I've done my best to focus during cool down and really make sure I'm stretching everything and I can feel the burn.

There's one stretch that I hate more then anything, I can't do it and it's not because it hurts or because it's a hard stretch. I can't do it because my thighs are literally too big and they get in the way of pulling my foot all the way up. I always know when this stretch was coming up, and I just pass it and start to stretch another muscle. Yeah, I'll give it a try, and it doesn't work so I would move on. I hate it and it seriously would embarrasses me.

I decided today that I would work out at home, change things up a bit. It was a good workout, kind of easy but it was better then nothing. Cool down time came and it was time to stretch my legs out. I knew the forbidden thigh stretch was coming up and for some reason I decided to give it a try. I almost fell over and not because I lost my balance.

I almost fell over because I actually did the stretch. My foot actually came up high enough for me to grab and stretch that muscle out. I didn't have to hold onto a wall, I didn't have to grab the inside of my shoe to bring my foot up, I lifted my foot and grabbed the top of my foot with my hand. I couldn't believe it!

What does that tell me? My legs are getting smaller and my body is getting healthier. It gives me motivation to keep going, it helps me remember why I'm doing this.

As for right now, I can only do the stretch with my right leg. My left knee is a little swollen and sore (one of the perks of being overweight) so to pull it all the way up, really hurts; it almost makes it feel like it's going to bust open from the pressure. I'm okay with that though. One leg at a time and one stretch at time!

The day I hit my first goal!

When I started Weight Watchers, 7 weeks ago, my mindset was a little different. I wanted to take things slow, I wasn't worried about losing weight fast, I wanted to go slow and actually learn to keep it off. I had set goals (big and little) but I was willing to sit back and enjoy the process and let the system work. The first goal Weight Watchers sets for you is 5%, I didn't change it because I knew that goal was very attainable, I just had to work for it.

Every week I've watched the scale move down and every week I was getting closer to my 5% goal. Even though I was trying to be patient and just let things go the way they wanted to go, I was hoping to hit my 5% 2 weeks ago, but I was okay when I didn't.

Last week I lost 3 pounds and was just a little over 1 pound away from hitting 5%. I was determined this week to hit it. I worked my butt off all week, a few days I spent almost an hour and a half at the gym. An hour and half?! I swear I'm not trying to become a gym addict, but working out feels so good!

The past two days, I've been watching the scale. When I weighed myself Monday morning, I had hit my goal, but I didn't want to get my hopes up, a lot can change in two days. Tuesday morning I stepped on the scale and again, I was under my goal (woohoo!). I did everything I could to remain focused all day, I worked out, drank over a gallon of water and prayed that the scale gods were on my side this morning.

I had a hard time falling asleep last night, I was nervous! I knew I was going to hit my goal, but was nervous for some odd reason. I woke up this morning and got on the scale. It was playing tricks, I stepped on it about 4 times and each time the number was different. Damn machine! I got ready and headed to my meeting location.

I took off my ring, glasses, shoes and Activelink, stepped on the scale and wanted to puke. I was so nervous! My leader did her thing with the computer and then printed my label. We looked at it together and the we had a little PARTY!

I HIT MY 5%!!! I REACHED AND DESTROYED MY FIRST GOAL!
5% at a time and slow and steady wins the race.....EVERYTIME! I'm celebrating for the day but tomorrow it's time to focus again to reach my 10%!

Week 6 Wrap Up

Week 7 starts on Wednesday, I'll weigh in at 6am and I pray that this week I'll hit my 5%. This time it's different, this time things are for real. Normally by now I would of had a week or two where I gained weight, I know there's nothing wrong with that, but this time around I have yet to gain at all. I hope the same continues this coming week.

I did a little shopping on Friday and I went down a size all the way around, it felt so good to know that all my hard work is paying off. I originally started Weight Watchers again because I went to buy new jeans and size I was wearing would no longer zip up, but on Friday, it was a different story. Those pants zipped right up and felt so good on me. I could not believe it. I stood in the dressing room for a few seconds and just looked at them before I walked out and showed my sister.

During the week I also had my final wedding dress fitting. I love my dress, I bought it over a year ago and I still love it. Every time I wear it, I remember why I chose that dress. I wish I could post pictures, but I don't want to ruin the surprise. When I had the dress on earlier in January, it fit me but there were spots that I wish it looked a little better, like my shoulder area, I hated how my "back fat" hung over it so much. When I put my dress on this time, there wasn't so much "back fat," I could tell it looked better. It was one of those moments that I knew I was doing something right.

One of the things I'm doing different this time around is tracking my water intake. My goal is to drink 100+ ounces of water. We have a water dispenser at home so that makes it very easy to make sure my water bottle is always full. The Mr. and my sister give me a hard time because they say I drink all of it, considering somedays I drink over a gallon of water. I think drinking so much water has the key my success so far, I believe it's really helping me achieve my goals.

I keep finding it kind of ironic that I'm inspiring people to work out and achieve their goals. I'm not a pro at this, in fact, some days I think that I don't know what I'm doing. I know I'll learn so much out of this and eventually I'll have to change things up and do different activity, but what I'm doing now is working. I love that so many people are cheering me on and have my back. All of the encouraging words and the "keep goings" seriously make each day so much easier. At the same time, it's so intimating having so many people cheering me on, I don't want to disappoint anyone or fail at this journey.

Everyday I remind myself that it's a new day and everyday I am thankful to just be alive and breathing.

Success and Determination

Source: 24.media.tumblr.com via Abigail on Pinterest

A month and a half ago I started my weight loss journey....again. I've accepted the fact that two other times I have really put my heart and soul into losing weight and those two times I failed. This time it's different. This time I have a different determination, this time I'm going to succeed.

I weigh in every Wednesday morning and then attending Weight Watcher meetings the same evening. I joined a gym a few days into starting my life change and I've been working out 5 or more times a week. Sometimes I can't get to the gym, so I'll do a walking video that I bought one of the other times I was attempting to lose weight.

Since January 1st, I have lost 15.4 pounds! I am 1.6 pounds away from losing 5% of my bodyweight! I am so close to my first goal that I can taste it (no pun intended). On week 4, I decided it was time to start tracking my measurements, I have yet to remeasure myself, but I plan to do so soon.

I have yet to be open and honest about my starting weight, putting important numbers like that for the world to see is a big thing. Once I hit a certain weight, I plan on sharing it with everyone. It will be a big step for me, but so many people are watching my weight loss, I'm hoping maybe it will keep me in check.

I really want to be better about updating my blog and keeping a "diary" of my weight loss, maybe I'll change my name and make it more lifestyle like. We'll see, I'm so horrible at keeping up with my blog. Clearly becoming a famous blogger is out of the question!

Of course through blogging and social networking, I have found a ton of weight loss blogs, Facebook pages, inspiring Twitter feeds and awesome Instragramers. These people have kept me so motivated over the past month and half, I love reading all their words of wisdom about weight loss and lifestyle change. One of my favorite things to do is browse through Pinterest and find inspirational quotes, they help me stay focused and I go back and read them all of time.

Everyday I find something new to be excited about for this healthy life I'm creating, what's even better is that The Mr. is doing it with me!

What I wish for....

Instead of writing out a good ol' Birthday/Christmas list, I thought I would make a pretty little Polyvore board of what I wish for. There isn't anything in this world that I need but it wouldn't be my birthday or Christmas without a wish list! So here we go!
  1. They're Real mascara by Benefit
  2. Eyeshadow pallet from Benefit called Two Faced Naked Eye (or just a gift card to where benefit is sold would do!)
  3. iTunes gift card
  4. Abigail Bearpaw boots, in purple
  5. Starbucks gift card
  6. A beautiful purple scarf
  7. Toms, in red
  8. Lane Bryant gift card
I can't believe how soon my birthday will be here and Christmas will be here just as fast! I need to start shopping too!

Do you make a wish list every year? If so, what's on your list?

Currently obsessed with....

I have always loved to get my nails done. It was something that mom and I would go do together. When I was in high school sometimes she would pull me out of class and we'd go and have an afternoon together, eat lunch and get our nails done.

Of course when I grew up and got a job that involved the making of some kind of food, I couldn't have my nails done and even nail polish was out of the question. So for the last couple of years my nails have been off and I would paint them if I had a long weekend or went somewhere important.

When I left Starbucks the first thing I did was march my way to the nail salon and I got those dang acrylic nails put back on and I was in love. But then I remembered how horrible they are for your nails and how much they damage your real nail and I got sad. I knew I shouldn't have put them on so a month later I was taking them off. (Enter serious sad face here)

I had heard about shellac nails before and knew it was the new "thing." I researched it and called around for prices. I found out that there are two options, one is the actual shellac and others offer gel polish which is called Gelish. Gelish offers a lot of color options and even allows different customizations of the colors. So two weeks ago, I got my first round of Gelish nails and I'm officially hooked and obsessed!

My first trial with it was a little disappointing. Because I had taken my acrylic nails off, the tech left a fine layer of acrylic on my nail so it wasn't so thin and brittle. Within a few days some of those pieces of acrylic started to lift making the gel start to peel and look really ugly. I went back and they fixed the one that was really lifting and looked pretty ugly, they even did it for free! Within a week and a half the nails with acrylic left on really started to lift and look ugly, I was kind of bummed about it and I was ready to just have it all removed and not do it again. I again researched and found out that the acrylic didn't help and with my nails being so thin the gel had nothing to hold onto to.
Yesterday I went back to the salon and got a new gel color put on. I made sure the tech removed all the acrylic and I had her do a quick manicure. For some reason this time the color looks a little thicker and looks like it may hold on longer. They say the gel should last 2-3 weeks, my first round lasted almost two weeks. Some nails only lasted a week and half, others looks great when I went in yesterday. I hope this time they will last 2 or more weeks!
I really am happy with the look of Gelish and I like how quick and easy it is to apply. I've looked into it and you can even buy the stuff from a supply store and do it at home if you wanted. I never would do that though, I like going in and having my nails done. It's always good to have some quiet time that's all for me!

....on the job

A little over a month ago, I left Starbucks and took a job working for the local school district. I loved my job at Starbucks but it was to the point where I just really wasn't happy anymore. I had switched stores to "better" my career but it wasn't that great of a move for me. Needless to say, I didn't like the store I was working at and just couldn't find my groove there.

I could have switched store (again) and hoped that the love for Starbucks came back or I could have found a whole new job, and that's what I did! It didn't take long for me to realize that I wanted a "real" job. "Real" meaning normal hours, Monday through Friday...you know, a "real" job. I also knew I wanted to work with children. I was looking at daycares, getting back into nannying and the school district. The school district job opened up, and I jumped on the opportunity.

So here I sit, in a high school class room. I currently work as a one on one with a student. I've been working with this student for a little over a month now and she has grown so much and has become someone I truly care about. I want to see her succeed and grow into a mature woman.

I never thought that I would work in a high school or better yet, actually enjoy working here. I have really enjoyed getting to know the other kids and I love that some of them look up to me and actually come to me to talk. My dreams on becoming a teacher are out of this world right now. I walk into a classroom and instantly hope and dream that someday I can have my own classroom. I think about the kind of rules I would have and how I would teach.

No matter what happens, if I stay here for the whole year or go to work at another school when my time with my student is up, I know that I'll be doing what I love.

Finding my mojo

It's been so quiet around here lately, I've lost my blogging mojo. It's not that I don't want to blog anymore, I just don't have anything good to blog about. I forget to take pictures of the fun things we do and half the time I forget to even blog about those things.

As much as I like to think that I'm a pretty open person, I'm really a private person. I don't tell too many people too many things unless you're pretty close to me. I don't often speak my mind because I really do care what people think of me. Blogging really has gotten hard for me lately.

I used to be able to just sit down and write, now I have to force the words to form and hope it all flows together. I have to really think about what I want to say and who I may offend if I really say what's on my mind. I know I shouldn't care, but I do.

So lately I've chosen to just keep it all to myself (not really, The Mr. is a pretty good listener). I still have goals and ambitions, I still work and do all those normal day to day things but I just can't seem to find my blogging mojo.

I'm not sure where that leaves me, I've thought about just closing my blog and moving on. I've thought about forcing the words out and hoping someday I'll catch my blogging fever again or I can just do link ups every day and never have anything good to say, but I really don't want to be that blogger.

Whatever I decided to do just know that I'm still around, that I probably still read your blog and that I wish I could find my blogging mojo again.

If anyone has any tips or tricks, please let me know!

Finding Something Good

My mission lately has been to find a good book. I love to read but just seem to have a hard time finding books that I really like. This has always been a problem for me. I remember being a teenager and starting a book, reading about half of it and then getting bored. I've never been one to read series of book, expect The Babysitters Club. I recently read the first book of the 50 Shades of Gray books, got through half of the second book and lost interest. I've tried to continue to read it again but I just can not get into it.

I need a good book, I need something that will capture me and make me want to keep reading. I need something that doesn't get boring or is hard to read. If I wanted a hard read, I would read a history book.

Earlier this evening The Mr. reminded me that I could borrow ebooks from our public library straight from my iPad. I spent a few hours (don't judge me) looking for books, reading up on the most recent "must read list" and even request some books. I downloaded a few and plan to start reading one before going to bed here in a bit.

I spend way too much time on Facebook, Twitter and all those other junky media sites when I could be indulging in a good book and possibly learning something.

And to think this was all inspired by sitting in high school classes.....why didn't do this more when I was in school?

Goals

I won't lie, I'm horrible with goals. I never write them down and I never focus on reaching that one end goal. I have a lot of "goals" in my head but can't seem to accomplish them. Some of the goals are just day to day things, like staying on to of house cleaning (which I've been failing at) and all those good things. I also have long term goals that I want to accomplish, but just can't seem to get started on them. I talk about them, I think about them and then it just stops, I never actually start working on these goals.

So, I'm starting here. I'm writing these goals down here, giving myself a time limit and I'm going to set out to accomplish these goals. I'll document where I'm at from time to time, I'll share my struggles and my triumphs and I promise you that I'll be real. No sugar coating allowed around here!

Here we go:

Daily goals: done everyday, without fail
  1. Be happy, no matter what.

  2. Eat healthy

  3. Keep up on daily chore list
Short-term goals: completed on or before the wedding (3/23/13)
  1. Cook healthier

  2. Lose 20 pounds before the wedding

  3. Work out 2-3 times a week
Long-term goals: completed on or before a year from today (8/27/12)
  1. Pay off $1000+ on my debt

  2. Get a job working with children

  3. Lose 40 pounds
Super long-term goals: completed within the next 5 years
  1. Be debt free!

  2. Start a family

  3. Go back to school and finish my teaching degree.
What do you do to set goals? Do you write them down? How do you stay on top of them and get them accomplished?

Date Night

Last Friday, The Mr. and I decided to have a date night. It's not that we never go out on dates, it's that when we do, they are normally double dates with some of our favorite friends. So when it's just the two of us, it's a big deal!

A few months ago one of my coworkers son was selling tickets to a local minor league baseball game (Tri-City Dust Devils) and since I always like to help a kid out, I picked up two of them. The season is coming to an end here soon and we needed to use the tickets, and it just so happened that there was a home game that night. So we made date night into a baseball night but first we started night with wings at Wingstop.

The Mr. and I are always down for some good wings and Wingstop never disappoints and the baseball game was fun! The Dust Devils lost but that's okay, the game was still good and spending time with The Mr. is always nice!

I can't wait until the next date night!

If all my friends had a blog....

It seems that my blog name has been the laughing stock lately within our group of friends. The other night we were sitting around having a few drinks, enjoying the beautiful Summer evening when my "blog" came up and we decided to give everyone their own blog name. I won't lie, we all had a good laugh!

So, please...meet my friends and what their blog names would be....if they really did blog!

[gallery link="file" order="DESC"]

One thing I love about our friends is that you can always count on a good laugh no matter what the situation may be and everyone knows how to take a good joke! I always look forward to spending time with this group of people and I always know it will be a good time!

Lil' bit of Everything...

...or more like ramblings...

The Olympics are over and Fatboy Slim is playing some jamming tunes which got me in the mood to blog. I'm not sure how they go hand in hand, but whatever.

I'm excited for regular TV to be back on, I've missed the few shows I do watch, and it will be nice to go to bed a decent time again. Since I close a lot, we didn't start watching the Olympics until after 9 or so, so most nights we were going to bed around 1:30am. Those late nights caught up with us quickly, I don't think we stayed up as last this past week.

The save the dates are still sitting on the kitchen counter in the boxes that they came in, that's my goal for this week. I have to get them sent out here soon, although all the important people know when and where the wedding will be. I have Thursday and Friday off this week and I plan on working on that.

Oh my goodness, Spice Girls are on stage, RIGHT NOW! Spice up your life, folks! ;-)

I haven't had a lot to write about lately (I'm not as exciting as you all think) and I got tired of doing all those link up's but then it's just quiet around here. Maybe I'll do a link up or two a week, just to keep the blog going.

Work has been work and I'm still taking it day by day. I still find myself saying "it is what it is" a lot, and I'm working really hard on finding that work/life balance. The Mr. has told me time and time again that I take things way too personally, (especially when it comes to work) so I'm working on checking out of work when I clock out and leaving home at home, we'll see how it goes. If anyone has any tips on how to do that, I'll gladly accept them!

Here's to a new week with hopefully more to write about!

...for myself

It's been a little over a week since I blogged, I needed a break, I needed to just sit back and just enjoy life not behind a computer. There will be weeks when all I can think about is blogging and just when I start to do good, I decide that I don't need to spend every waking moment on my blog or reading blogs.

You all know that I love to blog and I hope to someday write about all the exciting things my little family and I are doing but for right now, it's just The Mr. and I and we're saving for a wedding. There really isn't much going on here besides work, small visits with family and friends, and super late nights watching these dang Olympics. I'm okay with that too, I'm exciting to be planning my wedding, I'm exciting to be working (really, I am) and I'm excited for the Olympics (especially staying up until 2am!).

Sometimes I have to remind myself why I blog, I'm not blogging for other people, I'm blogging for myself. I'm not ever going to a world known blogger and I'm probably never going to have 1098490 followers, and that's okay. I read a lot of blogs and I find myself getting flustered while I'm reading their blogs. They have thousands of followers, they blog everyday, they take amazing pictures and they "live" these amazing lives. I may not take amazing pictures (I sure wish I could) but I can't say that I don't have amazing life, because I do. I just don't flaunt it peoples face and make it seem like we're rolling in the dough and we never have a bad day, because I'm so sure, everyone has bad days!

For a few weeks, I was just blogging and joining in on a bunch of link ups and though there isn't anything wrong with that, I really didn't want my blog to turn into that. I want to actually write and talk about everyday things, but somedays it's the same thing over and over again, so I don't blog. I've said it before and maybe I just have to keep reminding myself, but I'm blogging for myself and for my future family. If I don't blog everyday, if I don't post pictures in my blog and if I don't talk about things that interest you, that doesn't make me less of a blogger or not as cool.

One Day at a Time

I just spent the last thirty minutes on Twitter looking at #baristaproblems. I'm sure I could have done something a little more productive with those thirty minutes but it was refreshing to read all of those. Refreshing? Yes, because it's always nice to see that other baristas go through the same stuff that I do on a daily basis. It almost makes me appreciate my job a little more.

I've posted a few times about work and how it's been a struggle for a little while. I think it's safe to say that things are getting better. I'm taking one day at a time and learning to let the little things go, I find myself saying "it is what it is" a lot and I remind myself that this is only temporary. I'm closing a lot so I don't get to make dinner or do all of those housewife things that I really want to do but The Mr. helps a lot and is always willing to pick up my slack.

I remind myself daily that I need to be thankful that I have a job because a lot of people don't have a job and would love to have mine. I remind myself that with these rough days I am growing as a person, and that tomorrow is always a new day. I am always grateful of the good days and try not to dwell on the bad.

It really is getting better everyday.

Just one of those days....

It was one of those days yesterday, one little thing made my whole day go down the drain and I just couldn't bounce back from it. I tried to go to bed early but I failed and ended up tossing and turning and was up until wee hours of the morning. When the alarm went off this morning, I knew I needed something to help me get through the day and not focus on yesterday.

Pinterest.com to the rescue! I'm a sucker for a good quote, something that will help me realize that it's all going to be okay and that my attitude and outlook on life yesterday was just temporary. So that's what I searched for and I found some good ones, too good not to share or post so I can have and reflect on later.

It's the little things

It would be safe to say that there are a few little things in life that I love; I love coffee (Starbucks, please), water bottles, purses and planners. There's a little place in my heart made for planners, anytime I see one that is super cute, I think I need it and I have to have it.

Back in January I wrote about a planner that I had found and had fallen in love with. I was going to use it to stay more organized and help plan my days a little better. I loved the planner and tried to use it but often times it felt too bulky and I just couldn't get into using it. I've probably only used it twice since I put it together and it just sits in my corner by the couch and collects dust. (Anyone want it?)

2012 planner NOT being used!
The other day I was relaxing and browsing some blogs and came across this post at Crazy Beautiful Life. Holy moly, I was instantly in love and I had to have everything from erincondren.com. Seriously, especially that dang Life Planner. (I promise I'm done with links now)

That dang planner stole my heart and if you were to ask The Mr. it's probably all I talked about for two or three days. "The planner this....the planner that." "If I had that planner we wouldn't be double booked for this weekend!" Yes, I really did say that. I would be willing to spend my savings on that planner, that's how bad I needed that dang thing!

Okay, I wouldn't spend my savings but I would dig deep and beg and plead a little bit to get my hands on that planner, and that's exactly what I did! I'm sure The Mr. bought it for me to shut me up but oh man, I can not wait to get my new planner! I even had to dance like the people from the video below to convince him that I would put this planner to use!

You can bet your bottom dollar though, I danced and I jumped and I clapped and I got my planner! I can not wait until I can get my hands on it! What a wonderful day that will be!

**I should add that I wasn't paid anything or asked to write this blog. I really truly do love this planner and I'm pretty sure you need one too!

If only......

This whole nail painting craze is really getting to me. I want to paint my nails so stinking bad! I actually got to paint my nails for our engagement pictures over the weekend but had to take it off Sunday morning since I had to work. I won't lie, not being able to paint my nails is a big disappointment sometimes, but I get it, people don't want paint chips in their lattes.

So, to feed my craving, here are some pretty awesome nail arts I would do if I could paint my nails. I did decide that since I have tomorrow off, I'm going to find an awesome nail polish and as soon as I get off of work on Friday, I'm painting these dang nails! Thank God for three day weekends!

New Looks

I changed my look again! I loved my old layout but it was getting much to much for me. Don't worry, I saved it and who knows, maybe someday I'll switch back to it but I was craving something simple and easy on the eye. I got rid of some of my widgets on the side and just cleaned things up a bit. I'm loving it! I wonder how many times I've changed my layout since I started blogging. I'm sure it's like 1487 times.

Anyway, to update on the home front, The Mr. and I got a new bed and I won't lie, it's pretty dang comfortable. The bed that we had before was originally The Mr.'s and he's had it for a long time. Springs were poking out where they really shouldn't be, the bed was bowed out in certain areas and it just really wasn't that comfortable. I can't complain though, I had the better side and The Mr. often slept on the couch because his side was that uncomfortable.

We both really wanted a new bed for awhile now and it really was to the point where we were just fed up with it! Apparently holidays like Memorial Day and Labor Day furniture stores have a great deals! The Mr. went into Sleep City one evening when I was at work, fell in love with one of their beds and the next day I went in to try it out. He ended up finding a really good deal online which the sales man agreed to meet and the rest is history!

We had to wait a few weeks for the bed to come in but it's finally here and we love it; even Rambo loves it! Sometimes I find him sprawled out horizontally between us taking up all the room between The Mr. and I. He's so silly!

We got a new bed set (for a stinking great deal, if I might add) and the bed looks beautiful in our room! What do you think?
