In Hawaii, an Aloha Friday is a day to relax and get ready for the weekend. So on Friday's Kaliani from An Island Life takes it easy and asks simple question on her blog and I decided to join in on the fun! Feel free to head over to An Island Life, answer her question, link up and ask your own question! (Don't forget to answer my question for you!)
Here's my question for you:
What is your favorite Christmas memory?
When I was around 10 and I got a pair of roller skates! I squealed in delight! :-) Love your blog design! Happy Friday to you!
ReplyDeleteI was about 13 or 14 and got my first sewing machine. It was the first gift that was actually a surprise since we used to have to wrap all the gifts including my own...maybe that is why I dislike wrapping gifts now....oh oh therapy time!
ReplyDeleteI think that my favorite memory happened this year. Even though it isn't Christmas yet it happened during the Christmas season. My husband who has been searching for his biological father for years was contacted by his fathers wife. Even though we learned that his father had passed away he now has someone who can tell him about him and two new step siblings.
ReplyDeletei would have to say this is going to be my favorite christmas as my 3 year old is in love with the idea of christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the first one we celebrated in Germany. I love the feeling and all the town shops.
ReplyDeleteWhen my seven year old was two we went to see Santa and he said he wanted bath bubbles for Christmas. It was so earnest and sweet. And I will never forget the shocked look on Santa's face. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Santa came to our house when I was about 6 and we got to get a special present from him early.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one as yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!! I have never been able to roller skate, I always end up on face!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had to wrap your own gifts, that's horrible! Is that when you first started to sew? I would love to learn!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I'm glad he has found a way to connect with his Father. I'm sorry that has passed away though, I hope he's able to build a great relationship with his new found family!
ReplyDeleteOh fun!!!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Are you still in Germany? I bet all the little shops are beautiful all lit up with lights.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! It's nice to know that even kids enjoy the little things in life! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I have always wanted Santa to show up and deliver gifts!
ReplyDeleteI hope you make some great memories this year!
ReplyDeleteWhen we were kids, my parents didn't have a lot of money...one Christmas morning, 'Santa' had left a ginormous playhouse right in the middle of our living room (you know, like the Step 2 plastic play houses?) That memory has stuck all these years later, and I love surprising Princess Nagger with fun Christmas morning memories like that. :)
ReplyDeleteShopping On a Budget with Family Dollar – Aloha Friday
How awesome! I hope when I have children I can surprise them like that!
ReplyDeleteBeing that I don't celebrate, I still remember going to my friend's house growing up to enjoy time eating Christmas cookies and things with them while watching her tree twinkle.
ReplyDeleteJust time spent with my Daddy (he passed away) and Christmas was his favorite Holiday!
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be the Christmas of 2009. I knew I was scheduled to give birth to Kiana 4 days later and I was going crazy trying to get everything ready. :-)
